From June 24 to 27, Roboception will be showcasing the performance and versatility of today’s AI-based 3D vision solutions at automatica 2025 in Munich – and how they help advance robotic automation.
Together with our partner Leverage Robotics GmbH, we will present a live application in which a Universal Robots UR5 autonomously assembles mounting kits using a mix of components – including metal parts and small bags of fasteners.
The items are provided as bulk material and reliably detected, sorted, and identified using our rc_visard 3D Stereo Sensor, the CADMatch and ItemPickAI software modules, and Leverage Robotics’ ToolCube.

Test our precise object recognition capabilities – both for known and unknown items – using our rc_reason software modules CADMatch, SilhouetteMatch, ItemPickAI, and BoxPick.
With integrated grasp point simulation, you can directly see how objects are detected and grasp points are calculated for structured placement.
Together with our partner voraus robotik GmbH, we demonstrate how precise 3D object detection and realistic production simulation interact: Captured object data from our 3D cameras is seamlessly integrated into a full system simulation.
This enables production lines to be planned, tested, and optimized before physical commissioning – ensuring faster development, shorter ramp-up times, and greater process reliability.
