An Award-Winning Endeavor

Roboception has received numerous awards for its innovative achievements in 3D perception technology for robots.

This widespread recognition motivates the team even more to go above and beyond in providing ‘Eyes and Brains for Your Robot’.

reddot Award

Roboception, together with industrial designer Tilo Wuesthoff, has won an award in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019. The rc_visard received the Red Dot, which the renowned jury only awards to products that feature an outstanding design.

if DESIGN AWARD

The rc_visard’s combination of functionality and design convinced the iF DESIGN AWARD’s 63-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world. Together with industrial designer Tilo Wuesthoff, with whom we collaborated on this project, Roboception’s CEO Michael Suppa picked up the award at the award ceremony in Munich’s BMW Welt on March 9th, 2018.

Bayerischer Innovationspreis

Roboception has received the Special Prize in the Start-Up Category of the 2018 Bavarian Innovation Award. The Innovation Award Bavaria is awarded every two years by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energie, the Bavarian Federation of Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and the Working Group of the Bavarian Chamber of Crafts in order to honour exceptional innovative achievements. This highly acknowledged prize was awarded to Roboception’s innovative 3D stereo sensor, the rc_visard.

Best of Industry Award

Roboception won the “Best of Industry Award”, awarded by the German trade magazine MM MaschinenMarkt, in the “start-up” category. As one of four nominated start-ups, Roboception won the award that is based on a public vote and an expert jury decision – and received the award during a marvellous gala in Wuerzburg on June 7th, 2018.

Stevie Award

In 2017, the Stevie Award was carried out for the 3rd time in Germany. Roboception took part in the competiton and won the Gold Award in the category “Technology Start-up of the year”. This award is a top-class prize for enterprises and would be organized all over the world.

euRobotics Technology Transfer Award

The euRobotics Association recognizes Roboception’s rc_visard as an outstanding example of technology transfer between research and industry: Roboception and the DLR’s Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics received the 2018 euRobotics Technology Transfer Award at the European Robotics Forum in Tampere, Finland.

Photonics 4.0 Award

Roboception won the CODE_n Contest 2016 in the category Photonics 4.0 with its 3D-perception solutions for robot systems. The startup made its way against 13 other finalists in the field with its innovative technology and was very proud to receive the Photonics 4.0 Award on September 21st in Karlsruhe from the hands of Dr. Peter Leibinger as representative of the sponsor TRUMPF GmbH+Co. KG.
