“Eyes and Brains for Your Robot”: Roboception offers innovative vision solutions that let users across all robotic domains enable their robotic systems to reliably perceive its environment. Following the concept of “Sense. Reason. Act”, Roboception’s award-winning 3D stereo sensors and the highly sophisticated rc_reason software suite close the robotic perception-action loop.
These plug-and-produce solutions feature highly intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and are compatible with a variety of hardware platforms. On top of this, customer-specific solutions are developed in compliance with individual plug-and-produce requirements. Roboception delivers a key component for the advancement of robotic systems in various application areas, and will hence enable an essential expansion of the field of robotics as a whole in the coming years.
Munich-based Roboception was founded in March 2015 by three former employees of the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Together, they have more than 60 years of professional experience not only in robotics, stereo image processing and visual navigation, but also in strategic development, project management and personnel management.
